A retractable sunshade for your glass roof, with a fibre-optic starlight ceiling built into it.

Closed, it blocks the sun and cuts cabin heat. Open, it retracts out of the way. And at night it becomes thousands of fibre-optic points with meteor and galaxy animations across the whole roof.

Control

Heat and glare

Multi-layer automotive composite fabric with a UV-reflective layer. It makes a substantial difference to cabin temperature and glare on hot days, and takes load off the air conditioning. It reduces heat rather than eliminating it — a parked car in direct summer sun will still get warm.

The starlight ceiling

Thousands of individually placed fibre-optic points, hand-woven into the panel over roughly 20 hours of assembly. Full RGB spectrum, flowing galaxy mode, shooting-star effects, breathing modes, and audio-reactive sync.

Installation

The panel seats into the existing glass roof channels and the harness connects to factory power — nothing is cut, drilled, or permanently altered, and it removes cleanly.

That said, this is a motorised assembly spanning your entire roof, not a clip-on accessory. It needs careful alignment in the channels and neat routing of the controller wiring behind the trim. Confident DIYers report around an hour. If you'd rather not handle a full-roof install yourself, any trim or audio installer can do it.

• Faulty or incorrect item? Report it within 14 days of delivery with photos and we replace or refund it once returned. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted; return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
• This is a large item — it ships in its own carton. Keep the packaging until you're happy with it.

Questions we get asked

Does it work with the roof open or closed? The starlight runs whether the shade is extended or retracted, but the effect is far better with it closed — that's the surface the fibre points sit in.

Can I use it while driving? The shade and lighting both operate while driving. Use your judgement on brightness at night; a bright ceiling reduces your night vision.

Does it drain the battery? Draw is small relative to a Tesla pack, but the motor and LEDs do use power. Leaving the lights on for hours in a parked car isn't free.

Will it damage my headliner or roof? No — it seats in the existing channels and comes out again.
