Apex ActiveVision™ Ambient Lighting & BSD System

Ambient lighting that also shows you what your car already knows.

A full-width addressable RGB strip across the dash. On its own it's a colour-changing ambient light. Wired into your Tesla's data bus, it also mirrors the car's alerts as light — so information reaches you without you looking away from the road.

What it shows

• Blind spot alerts — the dash ends glow orange when your Tesla detects a vehicle alongside you.
• Turn signals — the strip sweeps in the direction you're indicating.
• Door-open, overspeed, and battery preconditioning — each with its own colour cue.

Important, and we'd rather say it plainly: this strip does not detect anything itself. It has no radar and no sensors. It displays the blind-spot data your Tesla already generates from its own cameras, in a place that's easier to see. If your car doesn't detect a vehicle, neither will the light. Treat it as a convenience, not a safety system — keep checking your mirrors and shoulder-checking exactly as you would without it.

Installation

The strip sits along the dash and connects to a factory data port — no cutting, no splicing, no permanent modification, and it removes cleanly. It does require carefully seating the strip along the full dash line, so take your time on the alignment. Most owners fit it in 30–45 minutes.

Shipping & returns

• Tracked delivery, 5–9 days to most US addresses from our overseas fulfilment partner.
• Faulty or incorrect item? Report it within 14 days of delivery with photos and we replace or refund it once returned. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted; return shipping is the customer's responsibility.

Questions we get asked

Does this add blind spot monitoring to a car that doesn't have it? No. It displays what your Tesla already detects. If your vehicle has no blind-spot detection, this strip won't create it.

Is it visible during the day? The ambient colours are subtle in daylight. The alerts are deliberately brighter and stay readable in direct sun.

Will it drain my battery? Draw is negligible against a Tesla's pack — comparable to leaving an interior light on.

Can I take it out? Yes, it's fully reversible.
