Your original airbag transfers over
The mounting geometry is machined to accept your factory Tesla airbag — it clicks into the same seats, at the same depth. Nothing aftermarket between you and it.
Buttons, scrolls, horn — untouched
The OEM control pods and scroll wheels move across to the new wheel. Turn signals, wipers, voice, horn: all exactly as before.
Factory plugs, zero splicing
Every connector mates with the factory harness. No cut wires, no adapters taped behind the column, no error codes on the screen.

Power down
Disconnect 12V per the guide so the airbag circuit is safe to touch. The one step you don't skip.

Two torx bolts release your airbag; one center nut frees the wheel. Tools for both are in the box.

Before you order
Is the airbag safe after the swap?
You keep your original Tesla airbag — it transfers to the CyberWheel and locks into machined seats built to the factory geometry. Follow the battery-disconnect steps in the guide during install (or have a shop do it), and it functions exactly as designed. We don't ship, and you never touch, an aftermarket airbag.
Will my buttons, scroll wheels and horn still work?
Yes — the OEM control pods physically move across and plug into the same factory connectors. Signals, wipers, voice control, horn, scroll-press: all identical to before.
Will a Tesla software update break it?
No. The car still talks to its own original electronics — the update has no way of knowing the rim around them changed.
Does wheel heating still work?
If your car has the heated wheel, yes — the heating element carries over and is controlled from the same screen toggle as before.
Which cars does it fit?
Model 3 Highland (2024–2026) and Model Y Juniper (2025–2026). It does not fit the pre-refresh Model 3/Y — their column and connector layout is different. Not sure which you have? Message us your VIN and we'll confirm before you order.
Can I go back to the stock wheel?
Any time. Your original wheel comes off intact — keep it boxed and refit it in under an hour before a lease return or sale.
What if it's not for me?
Change-of-mind returns aren't accepted, so please confirm your generation before ordering — ask us and we'll check it for you. If the wheel arrives faulty or isn't what you ordered, report it within 14 days of delivery and we replace or refund it.
